Yuumi is widely considered one of the strongest champions in the game, particularly for Bandle City requirements. She bypasses many standard game mechanics via the Attach keyword, making her exceptionally resilient against standard removal and stat-reduction modifiers. However, her playstyle is polarizing; some players find the 'attach and win' strategy linear or boring compared to more active champions. While functional at 3 stars, she receives a massive survivability spike at 4 stars and becomes a board-wide threat at 6 stars.
The Perfect Parasite
The cornerstone of Yuumi's kit. Grants Scout to the attached unit, allowing for two attacks per round to rapidly stack Fated and level-up progress. The downside (shuffle into deck) does not trigger while Yuumi is attached.
Allows Yuumi to be played on Turn 1 by using the two starting Poros as cost reduction. No damage effect applies because Yuumi's attach does not count as a Play effect.
Provides a 'Hex Core Upgrade' spell every round. Casting this spell targets the attached ally, triggering Fated (stats) and, critically, the 4-Star power Phalanx (Barrier), creating a near-impenetrable defensive loop.
Strategy
This is the premier setup for high-difficulty content. Use the starting Poros to discount Yuumi via Disciple of Shadows and attach her immediately. Galeforce allows you to attack twice, ramping stats quickly. Use the Hex Core Upgrade each turn to refresh Barrier via the Phalanx power and grant additional keywords.
The Apex Predator (6-Star Specific)
Used to kill the initial board of Poros to generate Husks via Succubus's Brand.
Generates Husks when units die. Combined with DoS and Yuumi's 6-Star power, this fuels massive stat growth.
A second copy maximizes Husk generation.
Strategy
This build requires Yuumi's 6-Star power and changes her playstyle entirely. Instead of attaching, you play Yuumi as a unit to kill your own board (Poros) with Disciple of Shadows. This spawns Husks, which then grant stats to the next unit played. Due to the 6-Star power sharing stats across the board, this creates an exponential growth loop where your entire board becomes massive by Turn 2 or 3.
Rare Relic Starter
This Emporium-exclusive rare is critical for Yuumi's power level due to the Scout interaction.
Grants Regeneration to the attached unit, ensuring they heal back to full after every combat encounter.
Grants Overwhelm to all allies, ensuring your giant unit doesn't get stalled by small blockers.
Strategy
For players lacking Epic slots or relics. Secure a unit with Regeneration and Overwhelm to act as a stat-stick that sustains through the adventure. If Galeforce is unavailable, prioritize relics that grant keywords like Quick Attack (Stormrazor) or Challenger (Grand Duelist's Blade).
Other Relic Options
Excellent for giving the starting 1-cost Poros significant keywords (Overwhelm, Quick Attack, Fury) before Yuumi even attaches.
A solid stat-stick option that grants Challenger, Overwhelm, and Tough to the attached unit.
Synergizes with Fated. If the unit reaches 10 power (which happens quickly), it gains Overwhelm, Regeneration, and Challenger.
Usable due to Yuumi starting with Poros, offering cost reduction and stats, though generally outclassed by Hex Core or Beast Within.
Constellation
Yuumi's constellation is highly impactful. While she functions at 3 stars, her 4-star power is a game-changer for survivability in high-tier content. Her investment path is considered one of the best in Bandle City.

We Got This
Allies have Fated.
So Many Friends
+1 Starting Mana. Game Start: Summon two random 1 cost Poros.
We Got This II
Allies have Fated. When you target a Fated ally, grant it an additional +1|+1.
Phalanx
When you target an ally, give it Barrier this round.Review
Phalanx: When you target an ally, grant it Barrier. This is widely considered one of the strongest 4-star upgrades in the game. It allows Yuumi to abuse targeted spells (like Gem, Hex Core Upgrade, or Yuumi's own attachment swap) to make her host unit immune to damage every single round.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
Manaflow: Starting with +1 Mana is crucial for consistently playing Yuumi on Turn 1, especially if you do not have Disciple of Shadows or cost-reduction items.
The Power of Friendship!
Round Start: Grow all allies to the Strongest ally's stats this round.Review
Friends Forever: When you play a unit, grant it stats equal to your strongest ally. This fundamentally changes Yuumi from a 'protect the castle' single-unit deck to a board-wide threat. It enables the 'Hunter' playstyle involving Husks and self-sacrifice to create a board of massive units by Turn 3.
Gameplay Tips
The Scout Loophole
The Galeforce relic grants the Scout keyword but has a downside of shuffling the champion into the deck at round end. However, because an attached Yuumi is not considered a unit on the board, the shuffle effect does not trigger. This allows you to permanently grant Scout to your host unit without losing Yuumi, doubling your attack output and Fated triggers.
Barrier Abuse with Phalanx
If you have Yuumi's 4-Star power (Phalanx), any targeted spell grants Barrier. This makes Perfect Hex Core invaluable, as it generates a 0-cost targeted spell every round. You can use this at Burst speed to save your unit from removal or win combat trades without taking damage. Even without Hex Core, simply re-attaching Yuumi to a different unit counts as targeting, granting Barrier to the new host.
Mana Cheating
Yuumi costs 3 mana, which can be slow. Disciple of Shadows is the premier solution, dealing 3 damage to all allies to reduce her cost. Since Yuumi starts with two 1-cost Poros, this usually reduces her cost to 1 or 0 immediately. The damage kills the Poros, but this is often beneficial as it clears board space for a single, powerful carry unit.
Small Stuff Counter
Yuumi is an excellent counter to the 'Small Stuff' mutator (sets all unit health to 1). Because Attach stats are 'granted' on top of the base unit's stats, Yuumi adds her health pool to the 1-health unit, bypassing the fragility that other champions suffer in this mode.
