Rare Relics OK
Vi occupies a unique position where her playstyle shifts drastically depending on investment. At moderate investment (3-5 Stars), she is a highly durable, board-centric brawler who excels with specific Epic relics like Strength of Stone. At maximum investment (6 Stars), she transforms into a 'one-punch' combo finisher. While capable of clearing difficult content, she is often considered 'boring' or a 'stat-stick' compared to more mechanical PnZ champions like Ekko or Jinx.
Strength of Stone Bruiser (Best for 3-5 Star)
The cornerstone of her mid-game build. Vi's star powers grant Health on card draw, which this relic converts into massive striking power via Formidable.
Increases Vi's Health (and thus her Formidable damage) while providing Sharpsight to block Elusives.
Provides early game stats and consistency, ensuring your units stick to the board.
Strategy
This build leverages Vi's high base health and scaling capabilities. Since her Star Powers grant Health to her allies, Strength of Stone allows your entire board to hit heavily while remaining extremely tanky. This is generally considered her most consistent playstyle before unlocking her 6th Star.
The 'One-Punch' OTK (Best for 6 Star)
Vi's signature relic. It grants Impact and triggers a free attack on play if she has 10+ Power, which her 6-Star power ensures happens easily.
Upon being summoned, Vi immediately strikes the enemy Nexus. With her massive stats from the 6-Star passive, this deals significant damage.
A second copy doubles the immediate Nexus damage, often resulting in an Instant Kill (OTK) the moment she touches the board.
Strategy
Once Vi unlocks her 6th Star, her game plan pivots from board control to holding Vi in hand until she grows into a massive finisher. Play cheap cards to buff Vi, then drop her to wipe the Nexus instantly via Gatebreaker strikes and her Relic's free attack.
Grand General's Control (F2P/Rare Only)
Generates a fleeting copy of Vi in hand each round. This creates 'Vault Breaker', providing a repeatable spell to trigger her 'play a card' scaling and star powers.
Vi creates a strong tempo swing on summon by removing a key enemy unit.
Grants Overwhelm to the team, ensuring Vi's massive stats can push damage through blockers.
Strategy
A solid baseline build that focuses on spell cycling. By generating a Champion Spell every turn, you can consistently trigger her scaling passives and maintain hand size.
Other Relic Options
An excellent alternative to Troll King's Crown for Overwhelm, providing extra stats to subtypes.
Useful for protecting Vi from removal in harder adventures like Lissandra.
Vi has a fairly reliable curve, making this a decent option to fish for key cards and epic items.
Constellation
Vi's constellation overhaul significantly improved her base viability, transitioning her from one of the weakest PnZ champions to a durable powerhouse. Her upgrades focus heavily on raw stats (Health and Power) and Impact.

Relentless Force
When you draw a card, grant your strongest ally +0|+1 and Impact.
Piltover's Finest
+1 Starting Mana. Game Start: Draw 2 cards that cost 2 or less.
Relentless Force II
When you draw a card, grant your strongest ally +0|+2 and 2 Impact.
Crush
Allies have Overwhelm.Review
Provides useful board-wide buffs or utility, often creating a bridge for her scaling. It allows her to save relic slots that would otherwise be used for keywords like Overwhelm.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.
We Run These Streets
When you play a card, grant allies in hand +1|+0.Review
Grants +2 Power to Vi in hand whenever you play a card. This is a polarizing upgrade; while powerful, it effectively invalidates the popular 'Strength of Stone' build because it emphasizes Attack over Health. It shifts her identity entirely toward being a hand-buffed finisher.
Gameplay Tips
Hand Management is Key
Vi scales based on the cards you play and draw. Prioritize drafting cheap spells and card draw engines to cycle through your deck quickly, buffing Vi (or your board) in the process.
The Strength of Stone Pivot
If you do not have Vi's 6th Star, the Strength of Stone build is widely considered superior to Attack-based builds. Her kit naturally generates Health, which this relic converts into damage. However, once you unlock her 6th Star, you should abandon this build in favor of Attack-scaling relics like Gatebreaker.
Impact Stacking
Vi naturally accumulates Impact stacks. In longer encounters, even if you can't punch through with Overwhelm immediately, the chip damage from multi-Impact attacks can wear down high-health Nexuses.
