Epic Relics
Vayne is a highly specialized champion whose performance is tethered to specific high-tier investments. While capable of executing exceptionally fast victories, she is often viewed as a repetitive champion with a fragile gameplan that collapses under interaction. For players on stacked accounts, she serves as an efficient tool for rapid content clearing, but her low flexibility and extreme reliance on specific relics make her a polarizing choice.
Sentinel Exodia
  • Death's Foil icon
Provides essential immunity during attacks, allowing Vayne to strike safely into units with massive stats that would otherwise destroy her average health pool.
  • Hidden Tome icon
Refills spell mana upon Vayne's arrival, enabling an immediate Tumble for a turn-one offensive push.
  • Chosen by the Stars icon
Functions as the primary scaling engine, providing Fated and Augment to grow Vayne's stats while granting Overwhelm and Challenger to ensure her strikes translate into lethal damage.

Strategy

This configuration is designed for maximum efficiency in high-difficulty encounters. The goal is to deploy Vayne on turn one and utilize repeated attacks to end the game before the opponent can develop a response. By combining invulnerability with rapid scaling and evasion, Vayne bypasses traditional defensive requirements by simply obliterating the enemy Nexus immediately.
Equipment Specialist
  • Fear-Cleaving Axe icon
Synergizes with Vayne's repeated attack prompts to boost the entire board's stats via Spirit stacks.
  • The Beast Within icon
Provides a global Overwhelm aura, ensuring that the stat growth from equipment and spells consistently reaches the enemy Nexus.
  • Echoing Spirit icon
Increases consistency by ensuring Vayne is drawn early and reduces the cost of Tumble, facilitating multiple attacks per round.

Strategy

This build shifts focus slightly toward board-wide scaling and weapon synergy. It is less fragile than the pure all-in build as it leverages the stats of the entire deck, making it more resilient if Vayne is briefly removed or if the game progresses toward turn three.
Standard Combat Training
  • Hymn of Valor icon
Generates a Redoubled Valor to massively increase Vayne's stats, though it requires sufficient spell mana to utilize.
  • Lost Chapter icon
A budget alternative for mana management, ensuring Vayne has the spell mana to equip or cast Tumble on her first turn.
  • The Berserker's Buckle icon
Provides stat growth whenever Vayne survives damage, which is common during her aggressive attack phases.

Strategy

Designed for newer accounts, this build relies on raw stat increases to overcome enemy blockers. It is slower and more vulnerable than epic-tier builds but allows Vayne to function as a primary threat in lower-tier adventures where enemy removal is less frequent.
Other Relic Options
  • Corrupted Star Fragment icon
Allows Vayne to consume her allies' stats and keywords, which can be useful for consolidating power into a single unstoppable attacker.
  • Living Weapon icon
Provides consistent Forge triggers, though it is often considered inferior to Fear Cleaving Axe as it buffs the equipment rather than Vayne herself.
  • Laurent Bladerack icon
Grants the board Challenger, allowing Vayne and her units to pick apart enemy threats and open the way for direct Nexus strikes.
Relics like Death's Foil are considered mandatory for Nightmare-tier content, while scaling relics like Chosen by the Stars are preferred for consistency in closing games.
Constellation
Vayne's constellation is one of the most impactful in the game, transforming her from a slow, unit-reliant champion into a turn-one offensive powerhouse. Her efficacy scales exponentially with her star level, making her a high-priority target for Demacian resources if you enjoy fast-paced combat.

Vayne's peak power spike. It provides massive, unconditional stat growth that triggers on every attack, allowing her to reach lethal thresholds almost instantly without needing external scaling tools.
Gameplay Tips
  • The Turn One Priority
To maximize Vayne's effectiveness, aim to deploy her on the very first turn. With the proper mana upgrades and spell mana refill relics, she can immediately cast Tumble to generate an additional attack token, often ending fights before the opponent can play their first unit.
  • Countering Interaction
Vayne is extremely susceptible to crowd control such as Stun, Frostbite, and Recall. Against adventures known for these effects, prioritize drafting SpellShield items or powers. Passing the first action to bait the AI into spending its mana can also provide a safe window to execute your combo.
  • Piloting without the Champion
Vayne's deck is highly reliant on her presence. If you fail to draw her, focus on using the support champion and equipment to trade effectively. The deck is not designed for a long game, so aggressive mulliganing for Vayne is almost always the correct strategic choice.
  • Utilizing Tumble Correctly
While Tumble can be used on any ally, it should almost exclusively be used on Vayne herself in her primary builds. Only use Tumble on support units if you are specifically using Vayne in a support role or if she is currently incapacitated and a different unit can represent lethal damage.
