Lux is widely regarded as one of the premier Demacian champions, characterized by her ability to dominate the mid-to-late game through overwhelming spell synergy and board control. While her early turns can be delicate, her peak power at higher constellation levels, particularly with her 6-star upgrade, provides a highly rewarding and strategically deep experience.
The Relentless Radiance
Increases starting mana to accelerate access to mid-cost spells and ensures a consistent early game board presence by drawing a low-cost follower.
Refills spell mana upon summoning Lux, allowing for the immediate casting of high-impact defensive or offensive spells.
The cornerstone of the build. Once the mana gem threshold is reached, doubling every spell cast creates an insurmountable advantage in resources and damage.
Strategy
The objective is to utilize the additional starting mana from the Incandescent Baton to reach the six-mana threshold as rapidly as possible. Once Lux is deployed, Hidden Tome provides the necessary spell mana to initiate her signature rally and laser generation. The ultimate goal is to activate Chemtech Duplicator, at which point the champion can deploy an infinite chain of attacks and Final Sparks to dismantle even the most resilient opponents.
Titanic Spellweaver
Provides an additional starting mana gem when the champion is Titanic, drastically reducing the time needed to reach critical mass.
Grants the health and keyword needed to fulfill the Titanic requirement for the gauntlets while providing extra survivability.
Ensures that once the mid-game is reached, spell output is maximized for board dominance.
Strategy
This configuration focuses on maximizing early-game resources. By utilizing the combination of Starforged Gauntlets and Luminous Orb, the strategy bypasses the typical slow early-game curve associated with Lux. This allows for the deployment of Lux or high-cost defensive spells several turns earlier than standard builds, enabling a faster transition into the Chemtech Duplicator's explosive win condition.
Other Relic Options
Provides consistent removal that synergizes with Lux's level-up condition and spell-casting requirements.
Generates fleeting champion spells, ensuring a steady stream of barrier protection and mana-efficient spell triggers.
Enables a massive board stall upon leveling up, providing a critical window to stabilize against aggressive encounters.
Grants global Overwhelm to the board, ensuring that the massive stat buffs generated by Lux's powers translate directly into Nexus damage.
For users with limited relic inventories, the Rare-tier combination of Chemtech Duplicator, Arcane Comet, and Archangel's Staff remains a viable and potent setup for most mid-tier content.
Constellation
Lux's constellation provides a significant upgrade to her baseline performance, shifting her from a reactive control champion to a proactive spell-casting powerhouse. While her path requires significant investment in fragments and crystals, the cumulative effect of her upgrades makes her one of the most reliable finishers in the game.

Lighting the Way
Each round, the first time you spend mana to play a spell, refill spell mana up to its cost.
Pushing my Limits
+1 Starting Mana. When you play 6+ mana of spells, create a 0 cost Golden Aegis in hand.
Lighting the Way II
Each round, the first time you spend mana to play a spell, refill mana equal to its cost.
Spell Burn
When you play a spell, deal 1 to the enemy Nexus.Review
The inclusion of Spell Burn provides incremental chip damage to the enemy Nexus. While not a primary win condition, it accelerates the clock in matches where the opponent utilizes defensive keywords or wide boards to stall.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
The additional starting mana is a transformative upgrade. It enables a more reliable curve, allowing the player to cast critical protection spells on turn one and deploy Lux significantly earlier.
Eternal Radiance
When allies attack, create a Final Spark in hand. Your damaging spells and Skills deal 1 extra damage for each 6 mana you've spent on spells this game.Review
This upgrade drastically increases the potency of Final Sparks based on cumulative mana expenditure. Furthermore, the acceleration of Final Spark to Burst speed allows for reactive removal of threats during combat, negating the AI's ability to respond to lethal damage.
Gameplay Tips
- Optimize Early Mana Consumption
Prioritize drafting spells that provide mana acceleration or efficient board presence. Hard mulligan for spells like Succession to trigger early mana refills, which allows for a smoother transition into deploying high-cost units or Lux herself.
- Leverage Reactive Burst Spells
At higher constellation levels, utilize the Burst-speed Final Sparks to interrupt the AI's attacks or remove key blockers before they can trade effectively. This is particularly useful against aggressive threats where removing a unit mid-combat can prevent massive Nexus damage.
- Maintain Board Width
Lux's strength lies in her ability to generate multiple Rally triggers. Maintaining a full board of attackers maximizes the value of each 'For Demacia!' or Golden Aegis cast. The addition of units like Poro constructs from drafted spells can provide essential blockers while you scale.
- Strategic Use of Barriers
Since Lux generates barrier-focused spells, timing their use is critical. Use barriers to protect high-value units during attacks to bait out enemy spells or to preserve your board against high-attack opponents in the early rounds before your stat scaling becomes dominant.
