Low Investment
Rare Relics OK
Jhin is a premier control champion who offers high consistency and a distinct, rewarding playstyle. While his gameplay can be somewhat linear, his ability to dominate high-difficulty encounters with minimal investment makes him a top-tier choice for most players.
The Artillery Barrage
Ensures an immediate Nexus strike upon play to trigger Plunder effects for subsequent relics.
Activates multiple Cannon Barrages on play, rapidly progressing Jhin's level-up condition and clearing the enemy board.
Doubling this relic maximizes skill activations, often resulting in an immediate level-up and a massive power boost to Jhin.
Strategy
This is the most effective standard build. By placing Gatebreaker in the first slot, Jhin strikes the Nexus immediately, enabling the Plunder condition for both Riptide Batteries. This sequence fills the spell stack, preventing enemy interaction and allowing Jhin to enter the board with significantly increased stats and a hand full of stuns.
Jhinfinite Loop
Doubles all spells and skills once the user reaches 6 mana gems, enabling infinite spell generation.
Summons a second copy of Jhin, which is necessary to maintain the infinite loop of Captive Audience generation.
Increases the damage of every skill and spell in the loop, significantly accelerating the win condition.
Strategy
This build focuses on defensive stalling until reaching 6 mana. Once active, having two Jhins on board with Chemtech Duplicator allows the player to cast a zero-cost Captive Audience and receive a replacement immediately. This enables an infinite chain of stuns and Nexus burn that can end any encounter regardless of enemy health.
The Virtuoso's Free Attack
Grants Barrier and a free attack challenging the strongest enemy when Jhin reaches 10+ Power.
Used here primarily to provide the necessary stat growth to reach the 10 Power threshold on play.
Provides Overwhelm to ensure that the massive damage dealt during the free attack carries over to the enemy Nexus.
Strategy
Specifically designed for a high-star Jhin, this build leverages his ability to reach 10 Power instantly via Riptide Battery. The free attack from Cease and Desist combined with Jhin's 6-star damage multipliers allows for massive, often lethal, damage on the very turn he is played.
Other Relic Options
Useful in 'Jhinfinite' variations to ensure two copies of Jhin are present on the board if Frozen Tomb is unavailable.
Generates consistent defensive tools and additional pings to progress the star powers.
Provides the spell mana required to maintain constant pressure with Jhin's generated stuns.
Jhin is relatively rigid in his relic requirements. While his signature relic, Whisper, provides thematic synergy, it is generally considered less impactful than rare-tier relics like Riptide Battery or Gatebreaker. Most experimental builds underperform compared to the primary barrage or infinite setups.
Constellation
Jhin's constellation is highly cohesive, focusing on accelerating his control tools and amplifying his burn damage. He is notably effective at 3 stars, meaning further investment is a luxury rather than a requirement for clearing endgame content.

Beauty in Death
For every 4th Fast spell, Slow spell, or Skill you play, create a Captive Audience in hand.
Setting the Stage
+1 Starting Mana. When an ally plays a skill, grant them +1|+1.
Beauty in Death II
For every 4th Fast spell, Slow spell, or Skill you play, create a 0 cost Captive Audience in hand.
Explosive Finale
When an enemy dies outside of combat, deal 4 Damage to the enemy Nexus.Review
This upgrade provides a significant increase to Jhin's finishing potential. By punishing the enemy for units killed outside of combat, it synergizes perfectly with his constant lotus traps and barrage skills.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
The additional mana gem is critical for Jhin's survival in Nightmare-tier adventures. Dropping Jhin or high-cost units like Yone on turn 2 allows for immediate stabilization against aggressive AI decks.
Death in 4 Acts
Your Skills and Spells deal 2 extra damage. Stunned enemies take quadruple damage.Review
The legendary power acts as a massive damage multiplier. When combined with Overwhelm, Jhin can deal quadruple damage to stunned blockers, resulting in massive Nexus overkill that ignores even the highest health totals.
Gameplay Tips
Relic Order is Vital
When utilizing the Riptide Battery build, ensure that The Curator's Gatebreaker is placed in a higher relic slot than the batteries. The game processes items and relics from top to bottom; Gatebreaker must strike the Nexus first to satisfy the Plunder condition required for the Cannon Barrages to activate.
Mind the Stack Limit
The game has a maximum limit of 9 spells or skills on the stack at any time. Jhin’s Riptide Battery and inherent passive can easily hit this cap. While this prevents the enemy from responding with fast spells or Deny effects, it can also lead to 'burning' or losing your own skills if you over-stack them. Plan your card plays to ensure key stuns actually resolve.
Mulligan Aggressively for Jhin
Jhin's deck is heavily reliant on his presence to convert control tools into actual win conditions. In adventures with discard mechanics, such as the Twisted Fate encounter, it is essential to have Jhin in hand early to begin generating value before your resources are depleted.
Leverage Stuns for Damage
At high constellation levels, stuns are not merely defensive tools but significant damage amplifiers. Avoid killing every enemy immediately; sometimes it is more effective to keep a stunned unit on the board to act as a target for Jhin's 4x damage multiplier, especially when utilizing an Overwhelm build.
Utilize Support Champions for Skills
When drafting support packages, prioritize champions like Annie or Yasuo who provide additional skills. These skills trigger Jhin's passive and accelerate his level-up, allowing the deck to maintain momentum even if Jhin himself is not currently on the board.
