Epic Relics
Jack is a complex, high-skill champion with a low power floor, frequently cited as one of the most difficult characters to pilot effectively in high-star content. His reliance on low-damage pings makes him particularly vulnerable to common keywords like Tough, and his deck suffers from a significant lack of inherent card draw. While he can achieve degenerate combo states with the correct relic investment, the effort required to succeed often outweighs the tactical payoff compared to other Bilgewater alternatives.
Infinite Rally Combo
Protects Jack from damage and death during attacks, allowing him to utilize Prize Fight safely to set up board resets.
Used to create low-cost copies of support units like Mako or Bull, enabling a recursive rally engine when paired with Jack's strike mechanics.
Provides essential stat scaling through Fated and Augment, eventually granting Overwhelm and Challenger to turn Jack into a primary finisher.
Strategy
This specialized build focuses on a recursive rally loop. By utilizing Death's Foil, Jack can safely strike into enemies using Prize Fight to reduce them to 1 Health. Condenser is then used to generate 1-cost copies of rally-granting followers. With consistent mana refills from Coins, Jack can repeatedly play these units to sustain pressure and clear the board via his passive pings.
Voltron Scaling
Synergizes with Coins and created spells to rapidly increase Jack's Power and Health.
Increases Jack's stats significantly whenever he survives damage, which can be self-triggered through Prize Fight.
Allows Jack to consume his own followers to gain their stats and keywords, mitigating board space issues while building a massive unit.
Strategy
This build addresses Jack's struggle with stat-heavy enemies by focusing on vertical scaling. The combination of Augment, Fated, and Berserker's Buckle allows Jack to grow his stats every round. Prize Fight becomes a dual-purpose tool: setting up kills for the passive aoe damage and triggering stat buffs on Jack himself.
Mana Control & Utility
Refills spell mana upon summoning or leveling Jack, providing immediate resources to play Coins or removal.
Allows Jack to strike the weakest enemy upon entry, which can trigger Coin generation or his level-up progress immediately.
Fixes the deck's severe lack of card draw, ensuring the player has cards to spend the excess mana generated by Coins.
Strategy
This configuration treats Jack as a control piece. Hidden Tome and Stalker's Blade provide an immediate tempo swing upon Jack's arrival. The Gravedigger's Spade is a mandatory inclusion for longer adventures to prevent the hand from emptying, which is a common failure point for this deck.
Other Relic Options
A budget alternative to Hidden Tome for ensuring spell mana is available the moment Jack hits the board.
Provides global Overwhelm to the board, which is necessary for Jack's followers to push lethal damage.
Generates high-cost units to provide a late-game win condition when the base deck's stats begin to fall off.
Jack is extremely flexible with mana-generation relics. In adventures with high starting mana, Luden's Tempest or Big Guns can be used to double the efficacy of his 3-star passive, though this remains vulnerable to Toughness.
Constellation
Jack currently relies heavily on his 3-star power to remain viable in mid-tier adventures. His early game is characterized by a high degree of vulnerability and a 'clunky' buildup phase. Strategic expansion of his constellation is required to help him compete with the stat scaling found in Nightmare-difficulty content.

Tip the Scales
When you refill mana, give allies +1|+0 this round.
Sleepin with the Fishes
+1 Starting Mana. When you gain the attack token, create a Fleeting Prize Fight in hand.
Tip the Scales II
When you refill mana, give allies +1|+0 this round and deal 1 to all enemies.Review
The 3-star upgrade is the minimum requirement for Jack to function. The additional ping damage upon mana refill is his primary method of board control, though it fails against enemies with regeneration or damage reduction.
Gameplay Tips
- The Prize Fight Reset
Use Prize Fight to reduce a high-health enemy to 1 HP. Because this damage cannot kill, you must then refill your mana (via Coins or Attune units) to trigger your 1-damage board ping and finish the unit. This is Jack's most consistent removal sequence.
- Managing Draw Scarcity
Jack generates vast amounts of mana but has very few ways to replenish his hand. Prioritize drafting powers or support champions that provide card draw (such as Janna or Twisted Fate) to avoid scenarios where you have a full mana bar but an empty hand.
- Countering Toughness
If an encounter features units with the Tough keyword, Jack's 3-star power is rendered useless. In these matchups, you must abandon the ping strategy and focus entirely on building Jack's raw stats or finding outside removal spells.
- Timing Coin Usage
Do not always save Coins for a single massive turn. Jack benefits more from multiple mana refills in a single round to trigger his board pings multiple times. Small, frequent refills are often more tactically sound than one large refill.
- Leveling Strategy
Avoid high-difficulty adventures like Thresh (due to Tryndamere's revival) or Galio until Jack reaches at least level 20. His early levels are extremely fragile; focus on Nautilus or Darius adventures to safely reach the level 13-20 range where he gains sufficient HP and relic slots to survive misplays.
