Excellent (9/10)
Low Investment
Rare Relics OK
Elise is a premier aggressive champion, distinguished by her ability to turn a board of low-cost tokens into an overwhelming force through keyword sharing. Her effectiveness begins early at lower star levels, and while her ceiling increases with constellations, she remains one of the most reliable options for clearing high-tier content with minimal resource investment.
The Scout Swarm
  • Galeforce icon
Scout. Round End: Shuffle me into your deck.
  • Queen's Embrace icon
Spirit, Impact, Evolve. Power: Fearsome allies can only be blocked by units with 5+ Power.
  • Fear-Cleaving Axe icon
    Spirit. Attack: Boost all units.

Strategy

This is the definitive high-speed build. Galeforce is mandatory to enable multiple attacks per turn, which triggers keyword sharing twice and accelerates scaling. Shuffling Elise back into the deck is a strategic benefit, as it prevents her from leveling up—a state that is often less productive because it ceases the generation of new Spiderlings. Queen's Embrace provides the keyword density necessary to trigger Evolve instantly when combined with Elise's inherent kit. Dreams of Yordles is a F2P alternative to Queen's Embrace.
Heavy Utility Frontline
  • Full Build icon
    Challenger, Tough, and Overwhelm
  • Spirit of the Buhru icon
Power: Allies that cost 1 or less have Overwhelm, Quick Attack, and Fury.
  • Echoing Spirit icon
Game Start: Create 7 copies of me in your deck. Champion Spells cost 1 less.

Strategy

This build utilizes role compression to ensure every Spiderling enters the board as a threat. Full Build provides Elise with essential defensive and offensive traits that are immediately distributed to her board. Tough increases Elise's survivability against pings, while Challenger allows for surgical removal of key enemy blockers. Spirit of the Buhru ensures that even if Elise is removed, the remaining Spiderlings maintain high combat efficacy.
Other Relic Options
  • Corrupted Star Fragment icon
Used in 'tall' builds to consolidate stats on Elise and refresh her keywords, effectively bypassing stat-reduction modifiers.
  • Voidborne Carapace icon
Synergizes with the high mortality rate of Spiderlings, allowing Elise to harvest keywords from dying allies and enemies to share back to her board.
  • Greenglade Shadeleaf icon
Provides Elusive utility, making the entire Spiderling swarm unblockable in many matchups.
Relic selection should prioritize unique keywords over raw stats. Because Elise distributes her own keywords to her followers, a single relic providing a rare trait like Elusive or Lifesteal increases the effective power of the entire board exponentially.
Constellation
Elise possesses one of the most cohesive constellation trees in the game. Her power spikes are well-distributed, making her viable at every stage of progression. The upgrades primarily focus on increasing the stat ceiling and providing late-game inevitability through mill and recursive summons.

When allies attack, grant allied Spiderlings everywhere +1|+0.
  • Icon for Caught In The Webs

    Caught In The Webs

+1 Starting Mana. Round End: If an ally died this round, summon a Spiderling.
  • Icon for Spider Queen II

When allies attack, grant allied Spiderlings everywhere +1|+0 and the positive keyword of allied champions.
  • Icon for Adaptation

    Adaptation

When you summon a champion, grant it two random keywords allies don't have.
    Review
This upgrade significantly increases the consistency of Evolve triggers. By granting random keywords on summon, it ensures that Elise can distribute diverse utility traits—such as Lifesteal or Spellshield—without relying on finding specific items during a run.
  • Icon for Manaflow

    Manaflow

Game Start: Get a mana gem.
  • Icon for Recurring Nightmare

    Recurring Nightmare

Game Start: Plant 3 Vilemaws as Nightmares in the enemy deck. When a Spider ally dies, plant a copy of it as a Nightmare in the enemy deck. When you play a Spider Terrify 1.
    Review
The final constellation transition introduces a secondary win condition. It transforms the deck from a pure rush strategy into a mill-centric engine that can punish defensive AI by depleting their deck through Terrify triggers while simultaneously providing high-stat Vilemaw units for board stabilization.
Gameplay Tips
  • Avoid the Level Up
Leveling Elise is generally detrimental to your game plan. Her base form generates Spiderlings on attack, which is the primary source of board pressure. Utilize shuffling mechanics or intentional trades to keep her in base form as long as possible.
  • Keyword Distribution Order
Elise shares her keywords when she attacks. Ensure she is positioned correctly in the attack order to maximize the value granted to your Spiderlings before blockers are assigned.
  • Managing Board Space
Elise generates units at an extreme rate. Prioritize cutting redundant followers from your deck at healers and shops to avoid board-locking yourself and preventing new Spiderlings or Vilemaw triggers from spawning.
  • Support Champion Synergy
Prioritize support champions that provide rare keywords (like Lucian for Double Attack) or those that benefit from wide boards. Champions that generate cheap units help maintain the swarm if Elise is not drawn early.
